Built-in JSON-LD and meta tags, and how they cooperate with Yoast, Rank Math and similar plugins.
Envato treats SEO meta output as plugin territory, not theme territory — the JSON-LD and
meta tags described on this page ship in Fieldcraft Core
(Plugins/fieldcraft-core.zip in your download), not in the theme itself.
If you only activate the theme and skip the companion plugin, you get none of this output. See
Getting Started → Install the companion
plugin.
What Fieldcraft ships
Fieldcraft Core (the companion plugin) includes a lightweight SEO foundation with no
configuration screen: JSON-LD structured data (Organization and WebSite
on the front page, BreadcrumbList anywhere breadcrumbs render) printed in the footer,
plus Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags (title, description, image, type) printed in the page
head, populated automatically from your site title, tagline, and each page or post's title,
excerpt and featured image.
If you use an SEO plugin
If you activate Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework, Fieldcraft Core's built-in JSON-LD and meta tags automatically step aside — the plugin detects the active SEO plugin and stops printing its own tags so you never get duplicate or conflicting schema/meta output. You don't need to disable anything; it happens automatically the moment one of those plugins is active.
Sitemaps & permalinks
Fieldcraft doesn't generate its own XML sitemap — use your SEO plugin's built-in sitemap
(Yoast, Rank Math and All in One SEO all include one) or WordPress core's sitemap
(/wp-sitemap.xml, available by default since WordPress 5.5). Set
Settings → Permalinks to Post name for clean, SEO-friendly URLs.
